We wake up at the usual time and after a quick coffee head off for the short run to the beach. On my return I hose myself down to cool off and we test raising the mainsail again a couple of times whilst the wind is quiet. The operation is much slicker now and actually Al does all the hard work sweating it up from the mast.
Overnight a plan has formed and I have decided to head to Panama City on Monday for a couple of days. My first task is to secure a place on the morning Marina bus which I just manage to do being 18th on the list of 20 possible.
Next I secure accommodation through Airbnb which is less fraught when not under the same time pressure as previously.
Al has busied himself organising the jackstays / safety lines on the boat.
In the afternoon when the temperature allows we take a leisurely walk to the beach. We come across a sign warning of crocodiles and not an hour later I spot my first Panamanian croc beside the road on the way back.

I have a last flit in the gym before the excesses I hope to sample in Panama City and then it is time for us to join the regular Sunday evening BBQ. We take our steaks and salad and we are both hoping that this is our last BBQ in Shelter Bay Marina!!
